The first Sunday in October is traditionally set aside for the observation of LWML Sunday, but it may be celebrated at any time.  The materials, available for download below, have been designed to help with your congregation’s worship and celebration of LWML Sunday 2016.

The LWML thanks Dr. Leopoldo A. Sánchez M. for writing this year’s materials.  Dr. Sánchez is the Werner R. H. and Elizabeth R. Krause Professor of Hispanic Ministries at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. A Concordia faculty member since 2004, he is associate professor of systematic theology and director of the Center for Hispanic Studies. Dr. Sánchez and his wife, Tracy Lynn, have two children, Lucas Antonio and Ana Victoria.

Based on Psalm 66:5 and John 1:35-51, the theme chosen for the 2016 LWML Sunday celebration is “Come and See!”

A full worship service is available for download.  As many pastors prefer to tailor their services to their congregation’s needs, the sermon, litany and children’s sermon can also be downloaded separately and may be inserted in any worship service wherever needed.
